Brunch, Bling and Boys...

So, it's Sunday and lately I have been spending Sundays at Donna's... I know, I am just a lucky girl. We started the morning with brunch and margaritas at Blue Goose in Plano. Good food and good times. While at brunch, Donna and I decided that we needed to take a little trip over to Recollections in Frisco. Since we were in Frisco, we thought that it would be fun to stop by Nordstrom at Stonebriar. Donna needed to buy a new pair of shades for her fishing trip to Canada next week. We decided on a fun pair of Ralph Lauren aviator style sunglasses. So cute. And since we were already at Nordstrom and they have such a fantastic shoe department, we thought that we should take a quick little cruise through to see if there was anything that we couldn't live without. Well, I found some... a pair of "bling-a-licious" sandals, they just had to come home with me. After our "busy" afternoon we decided to chill at the house the remainder of the day, drink wine and play on our computers. Much to my chagrin, Donna "made" me sign up for Match.com. Signing up for Match is WAY out of my comfort zone. It is SO not my thing, but I thought that I would give it a whirl. We fine-tuned the profile and uploaded some pics... and now we wait. I HATE that! I am not a patient person and I don't wait well.

I consider match.com to be one of many fishing lures I throw into the big bad dating pond. I have a very specific "saved search" and I check it for new profiles every couple of days but otherwise I just wait to see what the cat drags in. $50 for three months isn't a bad deal. Ifigure I could blow $50 on cocktails at a singles bar in one night and not get any dates out of that. The men outnumber the women by a whole lot on match so it nice to be the chased instead of the chaser.

sounds like you gals had fun! no no emily, but thanks! actually, a friend of mine signed me up because he wanted to see if someone he knew was still on it (and now you can't see people who've signed up unless you do)... and as we were scrolling through i saw someone i knew (using a picture i took of him!)... that was weird. no match.com for me, sorry. :) but good luck! maybe your success story could change my mind.
